Staying With Us
All Nozawa Collection properties are rented exclusively. Each booking provides private use of the entire chalet or studio.
Each property has a maximum occupancy based on layout and licensing requirements. Full details are listed on individual property pages.
During peak winter season, a minimum stay of five nights applies. Minimum stays may vary by property and time of year and are confirmed at the time of booking.
Children are welcome at most Nozawa Collection properties. Azalea Lodge and Azalea Studio do not accept children under the age of six due to layout and suitability.
Yes. Many of our chalets are well suited to families, offering generous living spaces, private bedrooms, and easy access to lifts, restaurants, and onsens in Nozawa Onsen.
Check-in is from 3:00pm. Check-out is by 11:00am. Early arrival or late departure may be possible subject to availability.
Complimentary mid-stay housekeeping is included for stays of 7 nights or more. For shorter stays, or if you would like additional housekeeping during your stay, this can be arranged at an additional cost. Please let us know in advance if you would like to schedule any extra cleaning services.
We are sorry, but pets are not permitted at the property.
Our chalets are self-contained and do not include daily breakfast. Each stay includes a welcome provision package featuring local gin and sake, sourdough bread, carrot cake, apple juice, eggs, milk, and butter. Please note that the contents of the welcome package may vary from time to time depending on seasonal availability and local sourcing. We can arrange a supermarket trip to Iiyama after arrival, or organise pre-arrival grocery shopping upon request.
All bedrooms are fitted with Western-style beds.
Azalea Lodge and Azalea Studio features underfloor heating. Heating specifications for other properties are listed on their individual pages.
Parking is available at or near each property, subject to advance request. Please note that some parking spaces are outdoors and are not covered. As certain spaces may require preparation and snow clearing prior to arrival, we kindly ask that you let us know in advance if you plan to bring a vehicle. Detailed parking instructions will be provided before your arrival.
Bookings & Payments
Bookings are made directly with us or via selected booking platforms. Once dates are confirmed, a secure booking link will be provided.
10% due at the time of booking · 20% due 180 days before arrival · Remaining balance due 90 days before arrival
All paid prepayments are non-refundable. If cancelled dates are successfully rebooked, a refund may be considered, less any costs incurred.
Security deposit details are confirmed at the time of booking and vary depending on property and platform.
Before You Arrive
Yes. We support guests before arrival and throughout their stay in Nozawa Onsen, assisting with practical arrangements and local planning to ensure everything runs smoothly.
We are happy to recommend trusted local ski hire shops and ski schools and assist with arrangements where helpful. Please note that we do not provide in-house instructors or equipment.
Yes. We strongly recommend reserving early, particularly during winter. Some venues require full prepayment at the time of booking — in those cases, guests are asked to complete payment directly.
We work with a selection of private chefs in Nozawa Onsen. Advance booking is essential, especially during peak season.
Yes. We can assist with private transfers and taxis. The Nozawa Liner bus operates in connection with train arrivals at Iiyama Station. We also assist with luggage forwarding services such as Yamato Transport.

Yes. Public onsens are spread throughout the village and are typically within easy walking distance of our chalets and studio.
Yes. Nozawa Onsen is a compact, walkable village. Ski lifts, restaurants, onsens, and shops are accessible on foot.

The ski season typically runs from December through early April. January and February offer the most consistent snow conditions.
Yes. The green season offers mountain biking, hiking, road cycling, village markets, festivals, and a quieter pace.
Yes. Many excellent restaurants operate throughout summer and autumn, though the selection is smaller than during peak winter months.
